2. Processing on this website

2.1 Technical provision and server logs

When you access the website, our server processes your IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer URL, transferred data volume, HTTP status code, and browser and operating system information. This processing is necessary to deliver the website, ensure its security and stability, and detect attacks and misuse.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.

Retention: Server logs are deleted after 14 days. They are retained longer only where required to investigate a specific security incident.

2.2 Contact inquiries

If you use the contact form, we process your name, email address, company (if provided), selected subject, and message content. We also process the time of submission and your IP address to prevent misuse and limit the submission rate. Please do not submit special categories of personal data through the form.

The inquiry is stored on our server and forwarded to us by email so that we can process and respond to it.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is processing inquiries and protecting against misuse.

Retention: We delete ordinary contact inquiries, including the stored email copy, no later than 12 months after receipt. Data is retained longer only where necessary for contract performance or to comply with statutory retention obligations.

Recipients and processors: The website and contact form are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Email delivery is provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Where required, data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR are in place.

The IP address used for spam protection is kept in a rate-limit list for no more than 30 minutes and then deleted.

Providing your data is voluntary. We need at least your name, email address, and message content to respond.

2.3 Website analytics with Umami

We use the self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool Umami at analytics.ionlinx.com. It is used for privacy-conscious audience measurement, technical improvement, and assessing the effectiveness of our website. No marketing cookies are set, no advertising profiles are created, and no data is transmitted to advertising networks.

Data processed includes visited pages including available URL parameters, referrer information, time, browser and device information, screen size, approximate location data derived from the IP address, and events such as scroll depth, clicks on email, telephone, and external links, and successful contact form submissions. For session measurement, Umami derives an identifier from technical characteristics with a regularly rotating salt. The IP address is processed to derive technical and geographical information but is not stored in the Umami database.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the privacy-conscious analysis and improvement of the website. Umami uses neither cookies nor local storage or comparable access to your device; therefore, consent under § 25 TDDDG is not required.

Retention: Umami event and session data is deleted after 12 months. You may object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation under Art. 21 GDPR by contacting info@ionlinx.com.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to recognise or analyse visitors.

The website, contact form, and Umami are operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Email delivery for contact inquiries is provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Processing takes place within the European Union or European Economic Area.

Our website does not embed content from social networks or other third parties. You leave our website only when you click an external link, such as LinkedIn. The respective provider is responsible for the subsequent data processing.
